National Influenza Vaccine Summit
The National Influenza Vaccine Summit
started in the year 2000, is co-sponsored by the American Medical Association
and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Summit is an
action-oriented entity with over 400 members who represent over 100 public and
private organizations with an interest in addressing and resolving influenza and
influenza vaccine issues.
Summit participants include
healthcare professionals, public health professionals, vaccine manufacturers and
distributors, consumers, and others interested in preventing vaccine-preventable
diseases. The Summit convenes each year to coordinate and collaborate in
influenza prevention activities.
Summit Meetings
2010 NIVS Meeting--Scottsdale, AZ
Influenza 2010-2011: Pandemic, Perceptions, Progress, Prevention and
Perspectives" will be held May 17-19 at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort in
Scottsdale, Arizona. Attendance at the Summit meeting is by invitation only.

Meeting registration: The meetings will begin at
1:30 PM on Monday, May 17 and conclude by 1:30 PM on Wednesday, May 19.

Accommodations: The American Medical Association (AMA), co-sponsor of the
Summit, has been able to negotiate for a block of rooms at a special AMA rate.
The block is reserved for May 13-22, 2010, which will allow some attendees to
enjoy the resort facilities for a few extra days before and/or after the
Summit's meeting. In order to receive the special AMA rate, it is necessary to
reserve your room no later than April 17 by going to the Doubletree Paradise
Valley Resort online
